Julie Xu is a lead product designer at Carta, where she built 2 new businesses from 0 to $9M ARR within 2 years, working alongside two acquired Y-Combinator founders. Carta is a $7.5B company serving over 40k startups with $126B in assets. At Carta, she developed a product vision and strategy with a VP of product, led the product vision for employees presented in board decks, and led the design culture committee.
Additionally, she designed and shaped the vision and strategy for Titanic’s end events, a music and arts organization founded by Justin Kan, founder of Twitch and Rye.
Before Carta, she was hired as the 3rd designer at Snapdocs, where she played a pivotal role in scaling the company to a $1.4B valuation by leading product design, growing the design team 5x, creating the first design system, and founding a new product line.
Julie has spoken about creating a vision and product strategy at many international tech conferences, including being a keynote speaker at RETHINK, ADP List’s Be More 2023, and Techsylvania.
