Bethany currently leads the Material Design System team at Google. She’s a self-taught UX practitioner, having studied Product Design and Mechanical Engineering at Stanford. She joined Google in 2011, exploring system and OS design through Android, Android TV, and Accessibility. In 2013 she became one of the first three interaction designers on Material Design and helped to define the design system from the ground up; recent work includes leading the design system rebranding and subsequent adoption at Google. Bethany’s deeply invested in building inclusive products and teams alike.
