Annika is the design lead for Gmail’s core web experience. She is interested in the intersection of design and machine learning and has designed a suite of intelligent features for Gmail and Inbox including Smart Compose, Nudging, and Highlights. She is also a contributing author to Google’s internal guidelines on designing for learned systems. Prior to Gmail, she was a designer and researcher at Timeful, an intelligent time management startup acquired by Google in 2015.
