Alana leads Design and Research at Goodreads. She’s supporting the (re)evolution at Goodreads to enable people to find books they love and connect with an inclusive community of readers. Previously, she led design at Getaround to democratize car ownership.
With a passion for cultivating design culture, career paths, and competencies; Alana has built high-performing and happy teams while operationalizing design throughout organizations. Connecting customers to innovative products across surfaces and physical spaces is at the core of her purpose.
Over her career, she’s worked in various industries and environments from in-house, design agency, to running her own design business. Alana currently lives in SF with her family of four. She still does not own a car and has a goal to read 12 books this year.
